Oligarchs R Us (Part 2)
So three days ago Ray Dalio read about the Russian oligarchs running left and right under international sanctions and decided to publish a public video, Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order, on Youtube. This is the video, I am pleased to include it.
Damn, it must be hard to have your yachts seized, especially when you worked so hard for them… (Italy seized Alexei Mordashov and Gennady Timchenko’s yachts as of 03/04/2022). To be clear, I am not comparing Mr. Dalio with any of these Russian tycoons: Ray Dalio is a fine intellectual and economist, those Russian folk are not. I just don’t need Mr. Dalio explaining me the history of the past few hundreds of years, or the last millennium for that purpose.

There’s no explanation needed here. History repeats itself. There’s nothing new under the Sun, except for Mr. Dalio’s monoscope.
